Our school successfully hosted the Forum On Traditional Medicine and Health Professional Education during the 9th China - ASEAN Education Exchange period.

The Forum is co-hosted by the China-ASEAN Center,the Ministry of Education of Institutions ofHigherLearning in the Medical Teaching Steering Committee,the Southeast Asian Education Ministerial Organization, the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yang Xiuping,theSecretary General of China-ASEAN   Center, Pan Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of  Guizhou Province,And Ms.Sandra,theDeputy Coordinator of Tropical Medic-ine and Public Health Network CenterofSoutheast Asia Education Departmentattended the meeting. There werenearly 40 people who attended the meeting, Such as experts, scholars, enterprises,anddoctors.Liu Wen,theVice Presidentof Guizhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine,presided over the meet-ing.

The Secretary-General YangXiuping said: China - ASEAN Center actively explorednew areas of cooperation in traditional medicine and health professional education in recent years. China and ASEAN countries are rich in traditional medicine resources, and it provides a huge opportunity for the two sides to carry out exchanges and cooperation. It is of great significance to promote the development of all countries and promote the well-being of the people through the organization and implementation of more mutually beneficial cooperation projects, tap the potential of cooperation, strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN traditional medicine, and cultivate professionals. The China-ASEAN Center is delighted to have this forum organized by the Minister of Education for Tropical Medicine and Public Health in cooperation with the relevant Chinese authorities. The forum is intended to enhance the exchange and cooperation in traditional medicine and health education, promote Chineseand ASEAN-related educational institutions to establish links, and strive to push bilateral cooperation to a new height.

Commissioned by Deputy Governor He Li, Deputy Secrataryof Guizhou Provincial office, Pan Xiaolin briefed the participants on the development of Chinese medicine and medicine intheGuizhou Province and expressed his willingness to further strengthen cooperation with ASEAN countries in the framework of China-ASEAN cooperation.He said, Pan Xiaolin also discussed having cooperation in the development of traditional Chinese medicine professionals,ExchangingChinese medicine physicians to carry out standardized training of resident physicians, and co-hostingtraditional medicine physician treatment experience and traditional medicine and cultural exchange activities so that Chinese medicine in the ASEAN countries take root and benefit of more people.

Chinese medicine practitioner Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Professor Liu Shangyi,blievesthat Chinese medicine "not only Achievesthe ideal of saving lives, but also affecst the way of thinking and behavior of individuals, especially in support of traditional Chinese medicine development of traditional Chinese culture and philosophical thinking." It is of great significance to develop the traditional medical and health professional education and to tap the valuebleresources of Chinese medicine"medical, economic, science and technology, culture and ecology" and to meet the people's demand for Chinese medicine service.Liu also says"The reason why Chinese medicine is broad and profound, mainly because it is full of the core conceptsof Chinese civilization, the original transmission of ancient Chinese philosophical wisdom, health concepts, disease prevention and control aspects of scientific results." In Master Liu's view,the development of Chinese medicine faces the best development opportunity, the basic theory, thinking method,expression wayof Chinese medicinearethe Chinese civilization genetic embodiment. Represent atives from the medical schools in Beijing, Tianjin, Chengdu, Guizhou, Hong Kong and Korea, as well as representatives from the Center for Education in Tropical Medicine and Public Health in Southeast Asia, spoke on the needs and development of traditional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and human health, the theory and application of traditional Chinese medicine, the application of traditional medicine in health education in Southeast Asian countries, etc.. These speecheshave unique perspectives and rich connotations. All  sides expressed their expectation to establish links and strengthen  cooperation. "Based on the Confucius Institute, assimilating the elements of traditional Chinese medicineandpromotingsustainable   development," the proposal was approved by delegates unanimously.
