III. Present actively school characteristics and look for means of exchange and cooperation from overseas.

In the morning of August 3, sponsored by CSCSE of the Ministry of Education of China, China-EASEAN Education Cooperation Project Negotiation Conference was launched in Jinyang Eco-conference Center, Guizhou. As one of the four universities on behalf of Guizhou, in strict accordance with relevant regulations and requirements by the Organizing Committee of the 8thCAECW and Provincial Education Department, our school made publicity materials and arranged for the exhibition, showing fully school characteristics and teaching achievement. Besides, in the afternoon of August 6, Doctor Zhang Ning from Acupuncture Department of our college delivered a vivid and fancy lecture on traditional Chinese medicine and healthy care for more than 20 foreign students and teachers of “advanced personnel training course on marine management and ocean economy”. During the lecture, he applied to molds and equipment, exchanged with guests, involved them in personal practice and finally won their praise warmly.

Our tasks during the conference were accomplished successfully due to the support and helps from School Office, Propaganda Department, Teaching Affairs Department, Youth League Committee, Security Office, Logistics Management Office, Foreign Language Teaching and Researching Department, School of Acupuncture Department, School of Medical Humanities and so on. This conference, on one hand, brought our school chances to exchange with sponsoring universities and colleagues in education and established friendly relation with them. On the other hand, it also acted as a platform to fully demonstrate our school in the aspect of characteristics and culture in Chinese medicine and the folk medicine.

Next year will be a year of China-ASEAN education exchange. By mobilizing and integrating all energies and resources, we hope to exchange with countries in ASEAN more deeply and broadly, build a new and unique platform and brand for exchange and cooperation with the outside and show the fruits and achievements of culture and education developing in traditional Chinese medicine and Guizhou ethnic medicine so as to function actively for mutual learning and joint promotion.
