——Holding the academic seminar on the development of Chinese and ethnic minority medicine in the context of big health
On November 20th, the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Guiyang College of TCM and the academic seminar on the development of Chinese and ethnic minority medicine in the context of big health were hold at Huaxi campus auditorium. Zhou Zhongliang, deputy director of the provincial People's Congress and Kong Lingzhong, vice Chairman of provincial CPPCC and some other officials attended the conference. Chen Mingming, vice governor of Guizhou province gave a speech, while CPPCC and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine sent congratulatory messages. Fang Shiping, secretary of the College Party Committee, presided over the meeting and Yang Zhu, president and vice Secretary of the College Party Committee, addressed a speech.
The chairman read out the important instructions to Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine given by
Chen Miner, the Provincial Party Secretary and Sun Zhigang, deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and acting governor.
Chen Mingming stressed in his speech that Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine should seize the opportunity to emphasize the openness idea of running school and the modernization of the system, actively adapt to the times of "big health", press the “fast forward button”, run out of the "acceleration", grasp the new demand of the health industry, seize new opportunities for the industrial development of health, get close to strategy, demand and problem orientation, take responsibilities, have new accomplishments and provide strong technical supports and talent guarantee for Guizhou health industries and health service development.
The meeting reviewed school’s history in the past 50 years and required that Guiyang College of TCM should study and implement the spirit of the Party's eighteen plenary session and the important instructions of Xi Jinping, General Secretary thoroughly while he inspected Guizhou province and the provincial deployment formulated at the six plenary session of the eleven of Provincial Party committee. In accordance with the important instructions of the Secretary Chen Miner and acting governor Sun Zhigang as well as the speech of vice governor Chen Mingming, taking the 50 anniversary of the school as a new starting point, our college will closely link to the economic and social development in our province and the development of medical and health needs, further optimize the curriculum, focus on the achievement transformation, enhance the level of development, improve the level of education, further play the "Chinese medicine" and "national medicine" brand and make new and greater contributions to the training of talents in the field of national Chinese medicine health service, research, development, and industrial development.
A total of more than 1500 people attended the meeting including responsible persons from the national Ministry of education, the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine, the relevant provincial ministries and bureaus, municipal State Government, Gui'an New District and county district, leaders and experts from other universities in the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao, alumni from colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine at home and abroad, along with faculties, medical staff and students from our college.
The teacher representative, student representative, and alumni representative gave speeches at the meeting respectively.
On the same day, our college carried out a series of academic research activities, surrounding the theme of the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the context of “big health”.
